Target Audience

My target audience are 16-30 both male and female because in my questionnaire i have found out that the younger audience like the horror genre more then the older and I cant have my target audience any younger because we want to make our short horror movie scary. 

Our target audience would like social media, phone, computers and trendy clothes and our target audience would be very mainstream. 

            

           



          

Horror Research

Horror films play with the audience emotion, worst fears, terror of the unknown, disgust and nightmares, horror films normally feature scenes of supernatural activities that scare the viewers and this genre normally has other genres with it such as fantasy, science fiction and thriller. Most horror films include an evil force or person witch is supernatural 

origin into everyday world. Elements which also feature in horror films are torture, gore, ghost, demonic forces, supernatural organisms and serial killers. The horror genre normally had blood, gut and dark scene in and normal has some sort of ghost or monster in it to scare the audience.

The main plot for Women in Black is that its set in Edwardian-era English village, Crythin Gifford and a new widowed layer called Arthur Kipps which is played by Daniel Radcliffe

comes to help sell the Eel Marsh House and examine the papers left by its deceased owner Alice Drablow. Then founds out the house is haunted by a ghost which is called the Women in Black. The Women in Black takes over the mind of children and sends them to their death. 

This film will help me with my short film because our plot is sort of the same because we have the ghost Raven which takes over Olivia's mind and send Olivia to the same death. Also it shows us what a horror movie should look like and how to make it set out like a horror movie.

There are different types of horror sub genre which are: Gothic, psychological, supernatural, slasher, suspense, thriller, teen terror, satanic and demonic.
